Hi there, I’m James.
I’m a writer (or at least someone who keeps trying to write more), a lifelong over-thinker, and someone who has started more creative projects than I can reasonably keep track of.
This corner of the internet exists because I wanted a space that felt a bit more personal. Somewhere to write without worrying too much about algorithms, trends or whether something fits neatly into a category. If you’re here, welcome – I’m glad you found it.

Family: I live with my amazing wife, and our dog Juno.
Age: 41 – old enough to know better, still young enough to change my mind. I think.
Current Status: Still not entirely sure what I want to be when I grow up.

MY OTHER WORK
I seem to collect projects, so here are a few corners of the internet where I also spend time:
- BALLS ON FILM: Writing and talking about sports movies.
- JAMES VS. BURGER: I’m now retired, but this was my journey to find the best burger in Glasgow, Scotland. It actually became quite popular and sparked a bit of a burger boom throughout the city.
- FICTION PROJECTS: I’m currently working on my first novel. I’ve actually been working on it for a long time, but I hope to actually finish it someday soon!
